CallRecap (“CallRecap”, “we”, “us”) is designed to help you quickly capture a meeting recap by voice, transcribe it, optionally structure it with AI (Pro), and generate a shareable call report. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
CallRecap may process the following information you provide or create:
By default, your recordings, transcripts, notes, and reports are stored locally on your device.
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account and may sync across your devices signed into the same Apple ID. Apple manages iCloud security and encryption. Your iCloud usage is governed by Apple’s policies.
CallRecap uses system speech recognition services to generate transcripts from your recordings. Transcription may be performed on-device and/or through Apple-managed services depending on device capabilities and language settings.
Tip: If you do not want names to appear in transcripts, avoid speaking sensitive client names in recordings.
If you use AI-powered structuring or summary features (Pro), transcript text (and/or notes you provide) may be securely transmitted to backend services to generate the requested output. Audio files are not required for AI structuring and are not intentionally transmitted for this purpose.
AI processing statement:
AI processing is performed via secure API providers. Submitted transcript data is used only to generate requested summaries and is not used to train public AI models.
We aim to minimize server-side data. Our backend may receive transcript text when you request AI processing. We may also collect limited operational metadata to maintain reliability (for example: request success/failure, processing time, and character counts). We do not sell meeting content and do not use it for advertising.
CallRecap lets you export and share reports (text or PDF). Sharing is initiated by you using iOS share features. Once you share or export, the recipient or destination you choose will handle the content according to their own policies.
CallRecap offers optional subscriptions (e.g., Plus/Pro) to unlock advanced features such as AI structuring and enhanced export options. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your full payment information.
CallRecap does not sell personal data and does not use third-party advertising SDKs to track you across apps and websites. We may use limited diagnostics to improve stability and performance.
You can delete meeting records and recordings within the app. You can also delete all local data by uninstalling the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, deleting data may remove synced records from your iCloud account as well.
CallRecap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
